In Russia, 5,862 new cases of infection with coronavirus confirmed per day

Over the past day, 5,862 new cases of coronavirus infection in 83 regions have been confirmed in Russia, the operational headquarters reports . The total number of identified cases of infection in the country reached 789 190.

165 lethal cases were recorded per day. For the entire period, 12,745 people died from coronavirus in the country.

Most of the new cases in Moscow-638, the Sverdlovsk region-234, the Khanty-Mansiysk AO-221, the Nizhny Novgorod region-217.

Over the past day, 9,669 people were discharged, the total number of recovered patients increased to 572 053.

The Chinese authorities reported an outbreak of an unknown virus on December 31. The virus was discovered in Jun-a large shopping and industrial center with a population of more than 11 million people. The causative agent of the disease is coronavirus 2019-ncov.
