On Wednesday, July 22, the Petrozavodsk City Court sentenced the historian, publicist and head of the Karelian branch of Memorial to Yuri Dmitriev. The prosecutor's office asked him to appoint 15 years in a colony. The historian denies all the accusations, and the human rights activists are sure that the case was fabricated after Dmitriev began to return the memory of the victims of repression in Sandarmokh.
In parallel with this, new rallies were held in Khabarovsk, where local residents protest against the arrest of the former governor of the region Sergey Furgal and the appointment of Acting Mikhail Degtyarev.
“MBH Media” leve a stream from the sentence Dmitriev and from Khabarovsk.
