In St. Petersburg, municipal deputy of the city of Pushkin Sergei Lazarev was detained due to participation in a rally against changes to the Constitution, reports OVD-Info.

The deputy was detained today near the house and taken to the police department in the Central District of St. Petersburg.

There, a report was drawn up against him under Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the rules of holding a rally). Lazarev is being taken to the Kuibyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg.

The reason for drawing up the protocol was participation in the action on July 15. Then the protesters lined up to sign in favor of appealing the vote on amendments to the Constitution. At the same time, according to OVD-Info, the protesters were not detained in St. Petersburg.
