In Rostov-on-Don, a civil activist was detained at the exit from a special detention center

In Rostov-on-Don, Vera Oleinikova, a civil activist and author of the telegram channel “Flowers for Volodya”, was detained at the exit from the detention center. This is reported by the coordinator of legal assistance OVD-Info Anna Romashchenko.

Oleinikova is taken to court, where they will hear the case following the traces of the protocol under the article on disrespect for the authorities (part 3 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Oleinikova's interests are defended by a lawyer from OVD-Info, Marat Avanesov.

19:59 The meeting was postponed until August 7, Marat Avanesov, a lawyer from OVD-Info, reports. The lawyer also clarified that the protocol was drawn up because of an Instagram post with a photo in which a girl who looks like Oleinikova holds a poster with an inscription about the police.

• On July 24, the court sentenced Oleinikova to three days of administrative arrest under the article on disobedience to the lawful demand of a police officer.
