On July 27, the Nakhodka City Court considered the administrative cases of two participants in the strike against the construction of a mineral fertilizer plant, the legal bot OVD-Info reported.
One of the detainees, Alexander Lomaia, was given a warning by the court and released. The court found Vladimir Belyaev guilty under the article on organizing an uncoordinated action (Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code) and arrested him for five days. Belyaev went on a dry hunger strike in a special detention center. Before the hearing, he was taken to the hospital with a suspected stroke, from there he was returned to the courthouse and then sent to a special detention center.
Earlier, the city administration confirmed in a letter that the planned strike, which the union had notified in advance, does not fall under 54-FZ on rallies . The letter is at the disposal of the editors.
Lawyers from the Union of SSR trade union sent appeals regarding Belyaev’s arrest to the prosecutor’s office of the Primorsky Territory, the prosecutor’s office of the Nakhodka city district, the Presidential Administration, the government of the Primorsky Territory addressed to Governor Kozhemyako and the local administration of Nakhodka.
A strike against the construction of the plant took place in Nakhodka on July 26, after which the police detained Lomai and Belyaev. They were kept overnight until the trial.
