A criminal case has been initiated against the Wagner PMC fighters detained in Belarus under the article on preparing a terrorist attack, said State Secretary of the country's Security Council Andrei Ravkov.

Today Ravkov spoke at a meeting with candidates for the presidency of Belarus, competitors of the incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko. According to a participant in the meeting, candidate Anna Kanopatskaya, the official warned of “possible provocations during mass events” and said that the detainees were testifying at various police departments.
"Terrorist" article 290 of the Criminal Code of Belarus consists of six parts. Part of the note - “a threat to commit an act of terrorism” - when committed by a group of persons by prior agreement, provides for imprisonment for a term of three to eight years.
