The European Union has opened its borders to 11 countries, but Russia is not among them

The European Union retained the right of entry for 10 countries, and also announced its readiness to open borders for China if it does the same. Russia, Brazil and the USA are not included in this list. It includes Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Tunisia and Uruguay, writes Reuters .

Russia is not negotiating the opening of borders with the European Union, writes RBC with reference to the press attaché of the Russian Permanent Mission to the EU, Sergei Kovalevsky. He noted that the EU list is advisory in nature. If one of the EU countries decides to violate the recommendations, then communication with it may be limited within the EU.

The list is also published on the website of the Council of Europe. In the previous version, in addition to the listed countries, it included Algeria, now it is excluded. In the first version, the list also included Serbia, with a total of 14 countries. Also in mid-July, some EU countries announced their intention to close air links with states in the Western Balkans, including Austria.
