The Dorogomilovsky District Court extended the arrest of Vladimir Vorontsov, creator of the Police Ombudsman public website, until November 6. It is reported by MBH Media.
The arrest was extended in the case of extortion (parts 1 and 2 of article 163 of the Criminal Code). The prosecution claims that Vorontsov demanded 300 thousand rubles from a police officer for not distributing intimate photos that were in the public domain.
The defense asked to postpone the meeting due to the absence of a lawyer, who was not notified of the meeting 5 days in advance, as required by law. The court denied this request. The accused asked to choose house arrest as a measure of restraint, or prohibition of certain actions, or personal guarantee.

- Vorontsov is charged with two episodes of extortion (Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 163 of the Criminal Code), two episodes of insulting a representative of the authorities (Article 319 of the Criminal Code), as well as illegal circulation and production of pornographic materials by a group of persons (Part 3 of Article 242 UK). The next day after the search, on May 8, the court appointed him an arrest, then the arrest period was extended until August. In total, as of July, seven criminal cases against Vorontsov are known.
