More than 77 thousand Siberians fell ill with coronavirus

The number of coronavirus in Siberia exceeded 77 thousand in the regions 1.4 thousand patients died.

The number of new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection per day was 918. The total number of sick reached 77475, follows from the data of the regional headquarters on August 1.

12 people died per day (four patients died in the Novosibirsk and Irkutsk regions, and one at a time in the Tomsk, Omsk, Kemerovo and Altai Territory). Thus, at least 1,400 people died in Siberia, according to Taiga.info's estimates.

Earlier, Taiga.info wrote that the authorities do not always report the deaths associated with coronavirus. The statistics were most understood in the Novosibirsk and Omsk regions. The Novosibirsk Minister of Health argued that the delay between the actual death and its introduction to statistics could be two to three weeks.

In Russia, more than 845.44 thousand infected were recorded, 14058 people died, 64,6524 people recovered. The country went out in the second or third place in the world in the number of sick, but the mortality officially declared by the authorities is much lower than in other states with a similar number of sick people. Now Russia is in fourth place.
