Changes will affect users of Yandex.Money services, QIWI POBILE WEBMONYY, PAYPAL, VK Pay and other similar systems. Now, in order to replenish the card, they should be identified and bind the bank account to the wallet.
In addition, the amendments also relate to transport cards, cards of schoolchildren, as well as cards for corporate canteens or entertainment parks. At the same time, the restrictions will not affect the users of the Moscow Card of the Troika, the St. Petersburg Plantain and transport cards in Chelyabinsk.
According to RBC, about ten million people use anonymously electronic wallets in Russia. Each year, more than two billion operations for a total of over 1.7 trillion rubles are carried out through such services.
As conceived by the authors of the amendments, innovations will help in the fight against the financing of terrorism and the spread of drugs.
