The authorities of Denmark at the moment have no objections to the resumption of work on completing the Northern Stream 2 gas pipeline. The Danish appeal on energy issues did not receive complaints about the permission of the Danish energy agency to use vessels with anchor positioning on an unfinished section of the gas pipeline, the Council of TASS said.

The deadline for filing complaints expired on August 3, until that moment it was impossible to resume work. Theoretically, nothing prevents the renewal of work.

The permission to use the vessels not only with dynamic, but also with anchor positioning means that ships such as the Academician of Chersky and the Fortune barge can participate in the laying of pipes. When the work resumes - it is unclear, in the subsidiary of Gazprom Nord Stream 2, which is building a gas pipeline, TASS reported that they would know about further steps.

Before the completion of the gas pipeline from Russia to Germany, about 100 kilometers remain along the bottom of the Baltic Sea - most of the pipes should be laid in the Danish waters near the island of Bournholm. Pipe laying work was interrupted in December last year after the United States threatened companies-owners of pipe-layers sanctions. A few months ago, the Russian pipe layer "Academician Cherskiy" arrived in the German port Mukran, which, presumably, will finish the gas pipeline.

Meanwhile, new sanctions have been developed in the United States, which can apply not only to tributary courts, but also to other companies related to the project. In Washington, it is believed that the Nord Stream 2 will increase Russia's influence on Europe and will become a threat to its safety. In Germany, they object to such an interpretation, calling the gas pipeline a purely commercial enterprise. German Minister of Economy Peter Altmayer called on the United States to negotiations.
