Samsung on August 5 introduced new mobile devices - first of all, the Fabblet (that is, a large phone) Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 phone with a folding screen. All new products will be available in a new, "bronze" color. Some of them support 5G, but in Russia only 4G versions will be officially sold-because we also do not have 5G yet .

Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra

Samsung continues to develop a line of phones with top -end characteristics for the season, designed more for those who will use them for work (for “simple” users there are Galaxy S20 and S20 Ultra, which was released in the spring of 2020). Like predecessors, the new Note 20 and 20 Ultra are equipped with a stylus and relatively large screens for phones.

Let's start with Note 20 Ultra - the most advanced Samsung model. This phone has an OLED screen for 6.9 inches, entering the side edges with a resolution of 3200 by 1440 pixels and frequency support up to 120 frames per second. It is equipped with three main cameras-one of them with a resolution of 108 megapixels, the second is ultra-wide, and the third supports the function of a 50-fold increase. Next to the cameras on the rear cover is a laser autofocus sensor.

A simple Note 20 costs cheaper, and its characteristics are also weaker: the phone is equipped with a flat 6.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2400 by 1080 pixels with an update frequency of 60 frames per second. He also has three main cameras, but they are slightly different: one-not on 108 megapixels, but for 12, but there is a camera with a telephone lens with 64 megapixels (but with a 30-fold zoom instead of 50 times). There is no laser autofocus.

Note 20 in Russia will be available only in versions with 8 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal memory (there is also a 128-gigabyte version). Note 20 Ultra - either 8 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of built -in memory, or 12 and 512 gigabytes, respectively.

The fact is that Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra will be produced both with 5G support and in a more familiar 4G version.

Judging by the English-language press release of Samsung, the 4G versions of the phones will be equipped with 8 gigabytes of RAM, but the 5G version of Note 20 Ultra will receive 12 gigabytes RAM, regardless of the volume of built-in memory.

But in Russia, these phones will be available only in a 4G version. And it turns out that the amount of RAM in Note 20 Ultra will be tied to the integrated volume: in the 512-gigabyte model there will be 12 gigabytes RAM. Strange, but nice!

Galaxy Note 20, unlike the older model, does not allow you to expand the built-in memory using microSD cards. It also has a slightly less capacious battery-4300 mA-m against 4500.

Of the general: both phones support fast and wireless charging. Both are equipped with one frontal camera and a fingerprint sensor built into the screen. Powerful Snapdragon 865 Plus processors are built into both (however, versions with Samsung Exynos 990 processors will be sold in Russia).

Finally, about colors: Note 20 are available in mint, graphite and bronze color housing, Note 20 Ultra - in black, white and bronze version. Phones will appear on sale in Russia on August 21; The younger model will cost 80 thousand rubles, the eldest - 100 thousand (120 thousand for the version with 512 gigabytes).

Galaxy Z Fold 2

Samsung has announced a new version of the phone with a laying screen. The first Galaxy Fold had two serious drawbacks, and both are related to the screens (the phone also has two of them). The outer screen, which is visible on the hollow of the case, when the fold was complicated, was very small - it was suitable only for reading notifications, but not for the full use of the phone.

The second problem was associated with the main, internal screen - it was too fragile, and the manufacturer asked to protect it from strong presses and scratches.

Galaxy Z Fold 2 solves at least one of these problems: the external 6.2-inch screen at the phone now occupies almost the entire half of the case. That with the strength of the inner, bending screen, we do not know yet, but it has changed: Samsung got rid of a huge cut out under the front chambers in the upper right corner, leaving only a small hole.

When a new model comes out and how much it will cost is unknown. The company promises to tell more about Galaxy Z Fold 2 in September.

Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Watch 3

Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ tablets can be turned into a semblance of a computer by connecting a keyboard and an electronic pen S Pen, or you can-into an additional monitor of the existing Samsung laptop. S7 is equipped with a 11-inch LCD screen, and S7+-12.4-inch OLED (which is better). Both of them support the frequency of update 120 Herz. The tablets also built a fingerprint sensor: in the younger model, it is in the inclusion button, in the eldest - right in the screen.

Galaxy Buds Live is wireless headphones with active noise reduction, which in shape resemble beans. The noise reduction in them really does not work like in Airpods Pro: the headphones “cut off” low sounds, such as the noise of an airplane or train, but they miss the rest - it will not work out completely from external noise.

Galaxy Watch 3 is a thinner and lighter version of the Galaxy Watch smart watches (there were no second numbers in the line). A round dial, always turned on the screen, two sizes - 41 and 45 millimeters.

Galaxy Tab S7 will cost in Russia from 58 thousand rubles, S7+ - from 70 thousand. Galaxy Buds Live headphones - for 14 thousand rubles, Galaxy Watch 3 watches - from 30 thousand rubles for the younger model. All devices, like Galaxy Note 20, will go on sale on August 21.
