In St. Petersburg, in the Tauride Garden, Ali Khantimirov was detained in connection with participation in the action with the banner "Change the government, not the Constitution." Human rights activist Dinar Idrisov told OVD-Info about this.
Khantimirov was detained while walking with his wife. He is being taken to OP No. 28. The interests of the detainee will be represented by human rights activists Dinar Idrisov, Ilya Tkachenko and Maria Malysheva.
Khantimirov is the third detainee in the wake of the action with the banner.
“In relation to all three activists, political investigation methods were actively used using “special technical measures”, that is, phone tracking, outdoor surveillance, wiretapping, and so on. Methods that were previously used by special services only in relation to persons who committed a criminally punishable act, ”Idrisov emphasized.
23:50 Khantimirov is left for the night in the police department, he is charged with an article on repeated violation of the rules for participation in the action (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This is reported by the telegram channel "Yagrazhdanin!".
7 August 11:40 am Judge of the Kuibyshevsky District Court Anton Savlenkov on August 6 postponed consideration of Khantimirov's case to August 10. This was reported to OVD-Info by Khantimirov's defender Dinar Idrisov.
The court granted the request to postpone the meeting so that Khantimirov could prepare for the consideration of the case. In addition, defender Idrisov could not appear at the hearing on August 6: the court also considered this a good reason for adjournment.
