At the end of July, an interview with Novaya Gazeta was given by entrepreneur Alexei Nechaev, who, without stopping the creation of the Faberlic international network company, founded the New People party. Despite a certain skepticism that exists in relation to the elections of political structures (especially in relation to those whom the Ministry of Justice registered), the “new people” initially made an application for the political concept of the “party of peaceful people”. “We want to build a large batch, build it on Earth. The human caliber is why we are fighting, ”Nechaev himself explained in an interview.
The statement is bold, but it may seem that the whole party is built on the personal charisma of Nechaev, which he “pumped” when creating a large international company, and not on any fundamental foundations. To understand what other new people he can lead, the journalists of Novaya Gazeta went to the party congress of “new people”.

On Saturday, on Saturday, on August 8, in the digital business space on Pokrovka (former house of the entrepreneur), 350 people were invited, and most of them, which logically follows from the name of the party, are people who have not yet shallowed in Moscow living rooms. Later, Nechaev in his introductory speech will call them “pragmatic romantics”: they “believe in the best, but they know that [that] if you don’t create the future, it will not come in itself.” Nevertheless, a distinctive feature of “new people” is that Nechaev tried to attract an expert community from both flanks - both liberal and conservative.
So, at the same time, political scientists Alexei Chadaev and Dmitry Abzalov, and at the same time, Alexander Kynev, who are highly quoted among an oppositional audience, also came to the congress. The place was found both for journalist Dmitry Sokolov-Mitrich, and for the defender of motorists from the Blue Vederok, Peter Shkumatov, and for the former deputy Minister of Economy Ivan Starikov.
The Social Group "Selebri" at the congress was represented by the stars of modern "moderate" journalism: Ekaterina Vinokurova, Anton Krasovsky, Sergey Minaev from Esquire, Tina Kandelaki. And so, right up to Lena Flying from Revizorro.

What could all these people say their new leader?
- We are a party that is built from below, from the ground. In the same way, I built a business all my life and do not consider it necessary to change this rule in politics, ”Nechaev said to the audience. - Only such an organization can compete with the current parliamentary parties. Only such an organization will be able to receive representation in the future State Duma and fight for places in the executive branch. The era of parties that exist only on TV and on the Internet ended. Therefore, we must set ourselves an important task - on September 13, get votes in the elections and deputy mandates in regions and cities.
Nechaev said that in the nearest election the party had already put up its candidates in the Novosibirsk, Kostroma, Ryazan, Kaluga, Voronezh and Belgorod regions in regional elections. At the level of urban election campaigns “New People” will be represented in Tomsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Lipetsk, Essentuki. The founder of the party himself calls this “challenge” and “test”, “as far as our ideas are able to reach the most active part of society”.
“In recent years, our government has written many development strategies and did not fulfill any of them,” continued Nechaev. - Our political institutions are outdated. In power - a deficiency of creative energy. Personnel elevators do not work: there are no tributaries of new people, and the elite has turned into irremovable. The state administration is dominated by the old approaches and the ideas that have outlived their century. We live in a difficult, difficult time. Complex times open up new opportunities and, most importantly, they create a demand for something new, for changes.
“New people” plan to bring new people to power, based on five key ideas:
renewal, that is, a change in the principles of the state structure, logic, ethics and style of interaction between the state with citizens;
progress and development, that is, Nechaev promises that party members will not only criticize, but also do it themselves - “more economical and better than officials and the horde of their deduced contractors”;
The idea that independent people in the country make up the majority, not a minority;
Freedom and justice, that is, the party, according to Nechaev, will fight for the protection of people “from unjust dismissal, from scammers, from the fact that a person remains abandoned, without a livelihood when he fell ill, from false accusations and an unfair court”;
And, most importantly, by honesty: “new people” immediately warn everyone that it will not be possible to quickly change the system, since it is very ossified, but the party is for “progressive changes”.
The words are beautiful, and it is easy to agree with them - who is against the honesty and the fact that freedom is better than not free? But so that this does not remain simply in words, “new people” presented several projects from regional supporters of the party at the congress. There are already such in all 13 regions where the “new people” go to the polls, the task is to scale them throughout the country.
Here are a few examples that seemed the most curious journalists to journalists.
Alexey Shaev presented the project “New Yard. Ryazan ”, the essence of which is to turn the courtyards and wastelands of the city into comfortable space for leisure. Ideally, it is assumed that on rebuilt wastelands will grow places for playing sports: playgrounds for game species (football, basketball), workout space and children's playgrounds. The author of the project estimates the cost of one such complex arrangement at 968 thousand rubles. Even on the scale of the whole country, this looks a much more reasonable investment of funds than pumping money into some new superweapon.

Tomsk party members Roman Sharypov, Alexander Qing de Shan, Victor Potapov and Anatoly Zakharov created and successfully implement the Vera charity project. Its main goal is to help products in a difficult situation, as well as children of war, liquidators of the Chernobyl accident, blockade and families with children with disabilities. Since April 15, the authors of the project say, they have already been able to collect grocery sets and feed more than 700 families. The plans - by the beginning of September to cross the line of 1000, and a year later, the authors of Vera expect to extend their project to 10 cities of Russia and increase the coverage of assistance to 37 thousand families.
Another project - “Guide No. 1”, aimed at the active development of domestic tourism, - introduced Inna Evsina, a candidate in future elections in the Kaluga region. For more than 10 years, she heads the Association of entrepreneurs of the region and knows firsthand what small and medium -sized businesses in the province lives: “Little and medium -sized businesses have accumulated many complaints about state policy in the field of economics,” said Yevsina “New”. - Even if the Minister of Economics at the Gaidar forum a few years ago admitted that the investment policy, to put it mildly, is not as effective as planned, why not revise the approach? A striking example of our region is the “100 dairy farms” project, which after 5–7-10 years of work closed. And why - even a schoolboy will guess. Kaluga region is not the south of Russia, this is not an agricultural region. Why not a state, but entrepreneurs themselves are looking for a way out-turning the “milk” into the collection of berries or something else? To be honest, I am tired of asking these questions, and the people who come to me are also tired. We have accumulated enough motivation for changes. ”
Yes, some of these applications may not look as large -scale as “strategists” from system parties are used to. However, the willingness of “new people” apply regional creative practices on the scale of the whole country, and most importantly - the willingness to listen to the ideas of not just the same apparatchists, namely as fresh people, they make the Nechaev project extraordinary. In fact, now the pragmatists are turned off or scattered, who, if they voted, then for individuals, and not for the structure, for the first time in a long time, hope may appear that someone will represent their interests. September Sunday on the 13th, it seems, ceases to be languid.
