Evgeny Musin from the group of civilian activists " The peaceful resistance of St. Petersburg " has served 20 days for the action against amendments to the Constitution. On August 7, he left the special receiver and was immediately detained. In total, over the past six months in St. Petersburg, the Organization of Peaceful Resistance held about 40 offline races against Putin’s “zeroing”, Musin participated in almost all of them and regularly dealt with the police. The correspondent of the North. Realia talked with Evgeny Musin to understand why he did not stop his protest and why it was necessary to "change power, not the constitution."
Evgeny Musin is 40 years old, most of his life he lived in Kazakhstan, then moved to Russia, in 2011 received Russian citizenship. He graduated from the North Kazakhstan State University, received two diplomas-a builder and a psychologist, worked for some time in his specialty-engineer engineer, a mechanic, and is now engaged in the repair of apartments.

- I left Kazakhstan for economic and political reasons. In Kazakhstan, there is not very good affairs in politics, there is its own autocrater, on which there are a lot of crimes, Nazarbayev, although now it is formally allegedly not in power. This situation was borne by me, and 10 years ago I decided to move to Russia. I was born in Omsk, just before the collapse of the Soviet Union, my father was sent to work in a neighboring region, to North Kazakhstan, and it so happened that my family got Kazakh citizenship.
- Do you have a family?
- No, unfortunately, with developed Putinism, I am not eager to give birth to children and start a family. Let's hope that Vladimir Vladimirovich will not upset us, and we can still build another country better.
- How long have you protested?
Whatever the opposition, it is doomed without support from below with gangster power to collapse and destruction
- I was interested in politics, while still a citizen of Kazakhstan, I watched what was happening there, and when I moved to Russia, this interest remained and even increased. Then there were protests of 2011-2012, and then the answers of the authorities to these protests. I volunteer in the Fund for the fight against corruption , and somewhere in 2014 I joined the Party of progress of Alexei Navalny, because I shared the values that they broadcast. I am political terms in politically, I look at the economy like a liberal, and then the party was one of the main protest forces. But in August 2017, I left there and took up independent civil activities. I realized that the vertical structures were not very effective at that time, and even now they are not very effective. When it is necessary to develop the lower protest, the lower civil society, the party vertical significantly reduces the initiative from below. So they did very little from below, and I did not like it - I gravitated to the development of lower civil resistance and civil society. This is precisely in this I see the development of Russia for the better. Whatever the opposition, it is doomed to collapse and destruction without support from below with gangster power. Practice, at least for the last five years, shows that the authorities have learned to work well against opposition movements working in a vertical scheme. Therefore, the potential field of development is decentralized protest movements, at least such as an “ unlimited protest” or other movements, usually regional, which arose in 2018. They work decentralized, and it is difficult to neutralize their authorities, simply removing some noticeable people. Here everyone makes a decision, and everything happens more efficient.
- And what did you do between Navalny and the "unlimited"?
- He was engaged in his personal civil activity. He printed newspapers, leaflets, distributed in his area. It seems to me very important to work directly with people, not through the Internet, but through the street.
- Is this all this work effective?

Offline shares help remove the conspiracy of silence against the opposition
- It would be effective if it were mass practice. Look, the effect of a single picket is minimal, but if 20, 30, 50 people come out with single pickets - the effect is already completely different. If you are standing at the metro stations at the peak, tens of thousands will pay attention to your agitation. And also offline shares help remove the conspiracy of silence against the opposition. This is a well -known manipulation - the majority may be against the current government, but through the TV and controlled media, such an atmosphere is created that people think that they are in the minority, that they are marginal. And people are not characterized in this case to express their position publicly. When people see living protesters, they understand that they are not alone.
-"Immortal" recently has somehow resolved ...
- Yes, there are fewer shares, but we must understand that people themselves have not gone anywhere - like those who went to rallies in 2011. And in recent years, such people have become much more, just intimidation and misinformation they were dispersed at home, someone so far took up their families, someone went into human rights, but the potential remained, and he at one time can tear quite loudly. Look at the Far East - although there are different drivers, the drivers are a secondary thing. Suddenly it turned out that the townspeople have a common goal, and they want to express their protest publicly - I think that for many people who went out to the street, to see so many like -minded people. The authorities are very afraid of lower protests in Moscow and St. Petersburg - no police and Rosguard will be able to suppress such masses of protesters. Revolutions suddenly occur - everything does not go according to those scenarios and with the participation of not the people that we used to think about, and the occasion is often unimportant, as it was in Arab countries.
- Why did you join the group "The peaceful resistance of St. Petersburg"?
- Because we are like -minded people, and because they are not afraid to go to street protests.
- Why are you delayed so often?

- Probably, I became one of those who are visible on shares. This is the usual tactics of power-to neutralize individual people who are known in the information environment and can organize something. After all, not only me, in the group, several people who regularly fall under the articles are Olga Smirnova, Marina Ken, Vladimir Shipitsyn, Dmitry Nepodin, they all have a threat to the so -called rally articles. There is nothing to be proud of, but the authorities reward us so.
July 26, before the rejoicing, the police staged a hunt for me
I do not consider myself the leader of the St. Petersburg protest, I just do that I can, so that people are not afraid to go out and openly express my position, but they decided that they need to put pressure on me. When Putin announced amendments to the Constitution, “peaceful resistance” decided to resist this-for the past six months we have been engaged in offline events, they spent about 40, for each we were drawn up by protocols. On July 26, before the rejection, the police staged a hunt for me, I did not show up at home for a week, ran from them, and they are behind me. There was both surveillance and employees of the Center "E" participated. Everything is simple for them-they raise some kind of “canned” from shares on the topic of amendments and on this basis begin to catch activists and hold accountable. After the “reset -prumes”, after our action with the banner “change power, and not the Constitution” on Nevsky Prospekt, I arrived home, and after a few hours they were already waiting for all the ways when I went out. When they realized that they couldn’t “smoke” me, they turned off the lights, pushed on my floor, fluttered their nerves with their surveys. Then I called the defenders, and Marina Ken and I drove to the 28th police department, accompanied by three cars. It was a weekend, but it was impossible to let us go, and in the case there were a lot of unacceptable evidence, falsified. But the court still arrested us - it is 15, and I was 20 days. I left them and on August 7 went to 04.47 from a special cost to the courtyard with a certificate of release, and at 04.50 I am met by four more employees, there is already a Gazelle with open doors - and I was detained in another case, for the action that took place on February 1. I was brought to the first police department, everything went to the fact that they would be arrested again, but after dinner, something went wrong-apparently, somewhere there a political decision changed, and Judge Maksimenko released me.

- Olga Smirnova from the "peaceful resistance" believes that the so -called "Dadin" article is being prepared for you - do you agree?
With such demonstrative flogging, the authorities are trying to frighten the protest so that it does not rush, as in Khabarovsk
“I think that not only me, but Marina Ken, and Olga Smirnova herself is at risk.” This is understandable, if we recall Konstantin Kotov, as well as Olga Misik from an “unlimited protest” - last year, three administrative affairs about mass shares were dragged very quickly through the courts, I then thought that she was being prepared for Art. 212.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ( repeated violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a meeting, rally, demonstration, procession or picket.-SR ), but somehow they rolled-maybe because it is a minor. This is an objective reality. And what to do - no one promised a light life. That's now against the three supporters of the “unlimited”, including the same Olga Misik, they opened a criminal case, and it is known that when they fall under a criminal under a political article, there are extremely few chances from it. With such demonstrative flogging for harmless actions, the authorities are trying to frighten the protest, including in Moscow, St. Petersburg, other large cities do not tear, as in Khabarovsk or Minsk.
- Are the fears of the authorities justified?
- Absolutely. We have been standing in pickets for a long time, communicate with people and imagine how many Putin’s dissatisfied in the country are in the country: the majority. It’s just that hundreds of polls are conducted superficially, and people since Soviet times are not used to telling the truth right away. You need to chat with a person: he can approach you with aggression - they say, go better to work or go to your America, and when you talk to him for about 15 minutes, it turns out that he himself has a lot of complaints to power, he just does not express them aloud and even sometimes does not fully realize them. And the authorities ... You know, if the police came to my special -reception to personally hand over the agenda in a different case, it is clear that they were very buried there and they are really afraid.
