Actor Mikhail Efremov, accused of a fatal accident, was hospitalized from the courtroom

Mikhail Efremov was hospitalized from the hall of the Presnensky court of the capital, where the next meeting in the artist's case was to be held today. This was reported to Novaya Gazeta by the press service of the court.

The actor, according to TASS , was hardly able to get out of the car that brought him to court, which delayed the start of the process. Soon he was carried out of the building on a stretcher and taken away in an ambulance. The artist's lawyer Elman Pashayev told reporters that Efremov had a pre-infarction or pre-stroke condition. According to RIA Novosti, he is in critical condition in the intensive care unit of the Botkin hospital.

The trial in the case of Efremov, accused of a fatal accident, had to be postponed until August 12, it will be held at 10:00.

The first hearing in the actor's case took place on August 5. Efremov was charged under part 4 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of the rules of the road by a person in a state of intoxication, resulting in the death of a person by negligence.”

Recall that an accident involving the artist happened on June 8 on the Garden Ring near Smolenskaya Square in Moscow. Efremov, in his own car, drove into the oncoming lane and crashed into a Lada van, driven by Sergey Zakharov, an online store courier. He died from a head injury. The examination soon established that the actor was in a state of extreme intoxication, and traces of drugs were found in his blood.
