Radiotimes: Best Agent 007 in History - Sean Connery

The results of the voting held by the Radiotimes weekly showed that Bondian fans consider British actor Sean Connery the best James Bond in history, the publication reports .

To date, the British Supershpion James Bond has been shot 24 films. In different years, George Lezenby, Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig visited the role of agent 007.

Radiotimes held a vote among its readers, in which more than 14 thousand people took part. In the first round, Connery gained 56% of the vote, so he went around the current agent 007, the English actor Daniel Craig, for whom 43% of fans voted.

In the second round, the Englishman Pierce Brosnan won, he received 76% of the vote. His rival, Australian actor George Lezenby gained only 24%.

In the third round, Roger Moore, who gained 41% of the votes of readers, lost to Timothy Dalton with 49%.

In the final, Sean Connery won with 44% of the vote. The second place went to Dalton (32%), the third - Brosnan (23)%.

Sean Connery became the first agent 007 in the cinema. He starred in five films of Bondiana: “Dr. Nou” (1962), “From Russia with Love” (1963), “Goldfinger” (1964), “Ball Lightning” (1965) and “You live only twice” (1967).

On March 5, it became known that the premiere of the 25th film of the movie Saga about agent 007 James Bond was postponed due to the coronavirus epidemic. The world premiere of the film, the main role in which the last time was played by Daniel Craig, was supposed to take place on April 2 in London. Now the premiere of the film in the UK will be November 12, and in the USA - November 25.
