The court fined the participants in the pickets in support of journalist Svetlana Prokopyeva

The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow found the editor of “Takih Dela” Artem Besedin and the portal’s correspondent Dmitry Sidorov guilty of violating the rules of participation in the action (Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). “Such cases” write about this with reference to lawyer Natalya Morozova.

Administrative cases were opened in connection with the rally in support of journalist Svetlana Prokopyeva, which took place on July 3 near the FSB building on Lubyanka.

Besedin and Sidorov were fined 10 thousand rubles each.

During the arrest, Sidorov did not participate in the action itself and did not have a poster with him, however, in the final decision, the lawyer clarified, the judge will indicate that the journalist “carried out a hidden form of picketing.”

• On July 3, an action of solidarity took place near the FSB building on Lubyanka with journalist Svetlana Prokopyeva, who at that time was accused of justifying terrorism. Later, Prokopyeva was sentenced to a fine of half a million rubles. At least 17 people were detained at the protest itself. The picketers were released from the department late at night.
