The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow arrested Dmitry Ivanov, the author of the telegram channel Protestny MGU, for 10 days in connection with his one-man picket against detentions at solitary pickets. This is reported by the telegram channel “Indefinite Protest | Moscow” and defender from OVD-Info Irina Yatsenko.
Ivanov was found guilty of repeated violation of the rules for participation in public events (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The protocol was drawn up for the picket he held on March 22 against the restriction on single pickets. The judge considered that the activist participated in a mass picket, although the defense insisted that the picketers changed each other every 10-15 minutes.
Public defender Ivanova Irina Yatsenko also drew the attention of the court to the fact that in the police protocols drawn up, the article on non-fulfillment of the demand of a representative of the authorities (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) was artificially replaced with an article on repeated violation of the rules for participation in the action (part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), and in some places the data is written by different pens.
The report on Ivanov was drawn up during his stay in the special detention center in connection with the action against political repressions on March 14th. in early August The activist was arrested for 13 days and was supposed to be released on August 14.
