Scientists and doctors from Krasnoyarsk are gaining a group of children who have been ill with coronavirus. They will study how they have changed the level of antibodies.

The Krasnoyarsk State Medical University, together with the Ministry of Health, is gaining a group of children from 2 to 17 years old, which have been ill with coronavirus. During the year, doctors and scientists will observe how their antibodies level changes. The study will show how their immunity to infection is formed, according to the website of the regional Ministry of Health.

“The mechanisms of the formation of immunity in an adult and the child are significantly different. In an adult, steady immunity is formed in direct interdependence with the severity of the course of the disease. When it comes to children's immunity, this mechanism does not work. The factors on which the formation of specific immunity depends, and how long it will persist in young patients, we have to study, ”the press service of the ministry said.

During the project of children, a pediatrician will observe, if necessary, they will be sent for consultation to professors of the medical university.
