The Pope called on Belarus to the dialogue and the rejection of violence

The Pope Francis called on Sunday to the dialogue, the abandonment of violence and the respect of the right in Belarus, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Vatican News.

“My thoughts turn to the road of Belarus. I am watching the post -breasted situation in this country and call for dialogue, rejection of violence and respect for justice and law,” said Pontiff, addressing believers and pilgrims from the window of the apostolic palace in the Vatican. He added that he entrusts all Belarusians to the protection of the Mother of God, the queen of the world.

On St. Peter Square in the Vatican there were several people with white-red-white flags.

Pope Francis also stated that he remembers and prays about many dramatic events taking place in the modern world.

"I continue to pray for Lebanon and for the dramatic situations in the world that are the cause of the suffering of people," he said. In addition, the pontiff called not to forget about the problems that arose due to the Covid-19 pandemia "in many families who have no work that have lost their jobs and who have nothing to have."
