The FSB reported on the detention of five Dagestani teenagers who were planning attacks on security forces

On August 16, officers of the FSB department for Dagestan detained five teenagers in Khasavyurt on suspicion of preparing attacks on security forces in Makhachkala, Khasavyurt and Derbent. The department's press service reported this to TASS.

According to Kommersant 's source in law enforcement agencies, 15-16 years old from the village of Tarki in the suburbs of Makhachkala went on a hike to Khasavyurt on August 12 to earn money. They had a tent, an ax and three knives with them. They were detained in Khasavyurt at the exit from the mosque and taken to the Soviet police department of Makhachkala.

During interrogation, they said that on the way they discussed attacks on security forces. The first attack, as Kommersant notes, they planned to carry out in Derbent.

“I went out to jihad to create a group, a combat-ready jamaat,” said one of the teenagers, Muhammad Semedov, in a video released by the FSB press service. “We trusted in Allah, we wanted to establish Sharia law on this land and drive out the invaders from here. As a result, due to uncoordinated actions, we were detained for the sake of Allah.”

The FSB transferred materials regarding them to the Investigative Committee. The initiation of a case has not yet been announced.

“Chernovik” wrote that the search for the teenagers began on August 14, when their relatives told the police about the notes they left. A source from RIA Dagestan claimed that the teenagers detained in Khasavyurt had a fight with the police on August 15, abandoned their Lada Priora and Mercedes Benz cars and disappeared into the forest near the village of Agachaul, southeast of Makhachkala.
