Almost 1.8 thousand Siberians with coronavirus died

The number of coronavirus in the regions of Siberia exceeded 89 thousand. At least 1799 patients died.

Coronavirus infection was detected in 1423 inhabitants of Siberia for August 15–16. The total number of infected ones reached 89720, follows from the reports of federal and regional operatives.

In two days, 19 patients died, including ten in the Omsk and six - in the Novosibirsk region. In total, at least 1799 Siberians died from infection.

The data of Rosstatshow that the authorities are far from always reporting deaths associated with coronavirus. The statistics could be understood the most in the Omsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk regions and Tuva.

In Russia, more than 927.7 thousand infected, 15740 patients died, about 736 thousand people recovered. In terms of incidence of coronavirus, Russia ranks fourth, inferior to the USA, Brazil and India.
