Openly, 235 million instagram, YouTube and Tiktok profiles were in the public domain

The array found on the network contained public information, including logins, full user names, contact information, images, statistics on the number of subscribers, age and other data.

In early August of the current year, the Internet expert in the field of security found an unprotected database containing about 235 million profiles of users of Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube services. Today, the incident is one of the largest data leaks.

The entire array found contained information extracted from public profiles, including logins, full users' names, contact information, images, statistics on the number of subscribers, age, field, etc. Instagram account for more than 192 million waste recordings, 42 million on Tiktok and almost 4 million on YouTube.

Initially, the researchers connected the found database with the now non -existent Deep Social company, which in 2018 was banned by Facebook and Instagram for extracting data from user profiles, which is prohibited by social networks. The companies even threatened Deep Social with a court claim if it does not stop this practice.

In response to the request, representatives of Deep Social redirected Dyacial to the Social Data company specializing in the sale of information about popular bloggers to marketing firms. However, the Social Data refuted the connection with Deep Social and said that they did not consider the formation of the database illegal action.
