Lithuania added Lukashenko to the list of prohibited entry

Lithuania has put the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the list of bans, Delfi writes with reference to Foreign Minister Linans Linkevicius.

In addition to Lukashenka, there are 31 Belarusian officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the KGB and the CEC of the republic on the list. Linkevicius refused to name other names. “Lithuania is launching the process of imposing national sanctions against those responsible for the cynical election fraud and brutality,” he said earlier on Twitter.

According to Linkevičius, unlike future EU sanctions, the Lithuanian ones are more symbolic in nature, as they only restrict entry. “But we are doing what is possible now,” he said.

Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, whom the Belarusian opposition considers the winner of the presidential election in Belarus, is in Lithuania.

Today, the EU has officially announced that it will not recognize Lukashenka's victory in the presidential election and will impose individual sanctions.
