Sandarmokh: Students will set signs to the victims of repression

In the tract of the Sandarmokh of the Republic of Karelia, 27 nominal signs to the victims of repression will be installed. Students of the Moscow International Film School will be engaged in the installation of the tablets, where since 2002 the educational project "Hidden History" has been operating. In Sandarmokh, students will take a memorial cemetery, remove garbage, fallen branches and leaves. In addition to Sandarmokh, students and teachers want to go to the Sekirnaya Mountain on Solovki, where in the 30s there was a penisrator of the Solovetsky special purpose camp. The expedition participants want to repair the road leading to the Holy Voznesensky monastery and the memorial cemetery.

Dmitriev compiled the lists of the dead, which totaled more than six thousand names. The historian is the author of the two books "The place of execution - Sandarmokh" and "The place of memory of the Sandarmokh." Yuri Dmitriev wrote the last book in the investigative isolator, where he was on charges of violent acts in relation to her admiring daughter. The court sentenced Dmitriev to 3.5 years in the colony. The historian denied the charges.
