The head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov, at a meeting with reporters, called the last term on September 4, when the authorities, representatives of the Bashkir Soda Company and the defenders Shihan Kustau should compromise about the fate of the mountain. If it cannot be achieved, the republic will submit documents to give Shihan the status of a specially protected natural area, Bashinform reports.

Khabirov also stated that the owners of the BSC have not yet responded to his proposal to redeem them from a control package of shares of the enterprise.

Previously, Radiy Khabirov said that the state is preparing BSK to the BSC to redeem the enterprise. "We, as local people, as people understand what is happening here, will manage the enterprise," he said.

The development of Shihan Kushtau "BSK" began in early August. The company intends to completely bite the mountain for the sake of limiting limestone. Thousands of inhabitants of Bashkiria stood to defend Shihan: they emphasize that the mountain is sacred to the Bashkir people. Scientists are also opposed to the destruction of the mountain, noting that Shihan's age is about 300 million years, and that about 60 species of red -blown animals and plants live on it, the New Gazeta writes.

Activists during the protests blocked the mountain travel for heavy equipment. During the confrontation with the security forces and employees of the ChOP, more than 70 activists were detained. They announced an unlimited hunger strike. In the course of overclocking the participants of the action, the security forces used tear gas and batons. A 85-year-old woman broke her leg, the agency 66.ru reported.

The deputy director of the BSC Rustem Basyrov emphasizes that the decision to develop the mountain was not made by the company, but the state. According to him, no matter what options for the soda company offer, they "have always been associated with protests."

“We just asked for the state: give us raw materials, we cannot work without it. Shihan Kushtau is a compromise option that we were offered after many years of discussion and rallies. I don’t understand what other compromise we had to go. Close the enterprise, dissolve the workers - we don’t need such a compromise. We will never go to it, ” Snob quoted Basyrov.

In the Russian market of Soda, BSK is a monopolist, in the world the manufacturer of calcified and baking soda takes sixth place. Basyrov is sure that “foreign competitors” achieve destabilization at the enterprise.

“Those who are behind the attack on our enterprise are not important, they are not for Kushtau, they are beating, but with a Bashkir soda company. They have one goal: put us on their knees, strangle and bring us to the closure of the plant. Because with the closure and destruction of the Russian soda giant, which we are, a huge niche is released throughout the market,” the top manager says.

According to him, not local residents protest, but "mostly visitors - tourists, politicians, political technologists of all stripes."
