The police detained the author of the telegram channel “Protest Nizhny Novgorod” Grigory Tifanyuk for allegedly organizing rallies in support of Alexei Navalny. He himself announced this in his telegram channel.
The detainee is presumably being taken to OP No. 2. They are going to draw up a protocol against him regarding the organization of an uncoordinated action (Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code).
Chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of Memorial Arkady Galker is in touch with the detainee.
17:25 Judge Denis Sokolov of the Kanavinsky District Court in Nizhny Novgorod imposed 20 hours of compulsory labor on Grigory Tifanyuk. He reports this on his Telegram channel.
The court found Tifanyuk guilty under the article on organizing a public event without filing a notification (Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). According to the police and the court, Tifanyuk organized single pickets in support of Alexei Navalny.
