Presenter of the GRK "Kamchatka" Alexander Novikov - about working on the television channel and dismissal after a rally in support of Khabarovsk

In early August, a rally was held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in support of protesters of the Khabarovsk residents. The action gathered about fifty people, the police did not interfere with the inconsistent event. The initiator of the rally was the 35-year-old TV presenter Alexander Novikov. The next day, she quit his job "at her own free will."

Novikova came into the field of view of the public this winter, after the appearance of a video on the Internet with her participation. The presenter burst out laughing right in television at the time of recording a report on raising payments to beneficiaries: “It is good that I'm not on the air. I honestly tried not to laugh at this moment. Have you read it? "

According to the Decree of the Government (which was laughed by Novikov), since February S.G. A set of social services was indexed to the amount of about 1.5 thousand rubles. The beneficiary can spend about 900 rubles on medicines, 137 rubles - on a ticket to the sanatorium, and the remaining amount - for "international travel to the place of treatment and vice versa."

Personnel did not go live, but instantly became the hit of the Internet. After this incident, the Directorate of the GRK did not remove to Novikov from work, limiting herself as a “conversation”. The leading incident itself did not comment on then.

Later, the attention of journalists was attracted by her other replica, which goes beyond the editorial policy of the TV channel. Novikova sharply spoke out against amendments to the Constitution: “I am a member of the precinct election commission with 10 years of experience. <...> The very organization of such a vote is a theater production that is needed only for eye avert. And I refuse to stand on my site and tell you that you are doing everything right. ”

“New” spoke with Alexandra Novikova about her work on the state television channel, the contradictions between personal political views and editorial policy and the dismissal after the rally in support of the Khabarovsk residents.

- Tell us about your career. How did you find yourself at the Kamchatka GTRK?

- Since childhood, I knew that I would work as a journalist. I knew that I would become a TV presenter, that I would write and shoot materials. How did I know this, it is difficult for me to say, but I was absolutely sure. I graduated from school and went to study at the St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions at the Faculty of Culture, the specialty "Journalism". But then I had few brains. I studied a year, threw up my studies and returned home safely.

In Kamchatka, I got a job in a private television company "Pier". I was actually taken from the street, taught everything, and I began to work as a television journalist and presenter. We still did not have a television room, I read the news from the sheet. Then the company fell apart, and I went to Moscow to study at the Ostankino television school.

After that, she returned home again, worked in business. She got married, and my husband was quite categorical: he believed that all journalists are prostitutes. And to be honest, I have already set a cross in this profession. And then we divorced, and literally a couple of months later, the GTRK announced the casting. I went, not hoping for anything. There were a lot of people. I asked the girls: you can read it quickly and leave, I don’t need it. They let me go forward, I reported, and an hour later I called the deputy director and said that she was taking to work. It was in 2016.

- What did you do at the GTRK?

- At first I worked only on the jurisdiction. And after some time I almost had an accident: Kamchatka is not very good roads. I recorded Storiz on Instagram, rather rude, about the Kamchatka government, they say, where are the roads. I posted on the Internet, and then I was punished. They removed from the jurisdiction and sent to work in the field by a correspondent.

And then I saw how people live in Kamchatka, with what troubles they face, the indifference of officials.

I was married, earned 30 thousand, which I could immediately lower it on a cosmetologist, I didn’t think the money: I have enough for everything, I have everything. And when she went to work as a correspondent and saw what was really happening, my eyes opened.

In 2015, when I was still engaged in business - Italian clothes, flying to Moscow to my supplier for goods. I was on a sweatshirt with Putin. And I sincerely did not understand why people in the subway shy away from me. Since then, my views have changed a lot.

- How is the journalist on regional television free in choosing a topic or serving?

- In general, quite free. Another question is that we are working under contracts. For example, we have contracts with the Government of the Kamchatka Territory and with the city administration.

The evening issue goes for 15 minutes, and he was scored “brought”: the governor went there, the head of the city met with those.

Since we have a contract, we are obliged to issue it. As a result, we show these boring faces of officials, and therefore the news is boring and uninteresting.

- There is a rumor in the professional community that “training manuals” are distributed to the GOSTELEKANALOV journalists so that they “correctly” highlight resonance events. Have you encountered this?

- This is a bike. There is another nuance. If the government is interested in the government or any other state structure, then we must work exclusively at the GRK in the GRK. Or, if it is not there, send the material for approval before going out. Well, when it was just the text: they wrote, confirmed, released, but sometimes they ask to show the video. In general, working with the press services is disgusting. There are not the most talented people, on whom we should be equal to for some reason. Shame and shame, to be honest.

- How did your life change after the incident, when you laughed, reading the news about indexing benefits for veterans and disabled people?

- I can’t imagine how the stars and politicians of an all -Russian scale live.

After this video was on the network, I woke up the famous. It was very difficult. This is hell. I was forbidden to give comments on the GTRK.

I came to the leadership and suggested: let me quit. I was ready because the resonance was terrible, the pressure on the company was very serious. Then they did not give me left, because the public would regard this as a forced dismissal, and not I left.

- Has the attitude of the editorial office to you, including from the authorities?

- The company always loved and respected me. But when all this happened, the bosses were scared that their heads would fly. I had some kind of warm relationship with any of the leadership - but after this incident I lost my friend. For the company, I became dangerous, I understood that my days were numbered at the GRK.

Although, before voting for amendments to the Constitution, I came to the chef in tears with a statement with the wording: "I ask you to dismiss me of my own free will, because when I read the texts about amendments to the Constitution, I want to spit." Then he also did not let me go. Not that he clung and held it, but said: "The amendments will pass, it will be easier." I wiped a tear and went to work.

- In parallel, you publicly spoke out against amendments to the Constitution on social networks.

- Yes. First, I posted a photo with a microphone and wrote that I was against amendments. The chef called and said that I should remove a photo with a microphone, but I can speak out under a different picture. I deleted and rebooted the post, because, first of all, I am a citizen of the Russian Federation, and only then a journalist of the GTRK. I could not be silent and campaign to vote for amendments. From the very beginning, it was clear that this was done so that the current president could run a few more times and stay in power for 30 years.

The constitution is not a sheet to wash it once a week. And we get it just like that.

- You said it was hard for you to read on the TV channel about the constitution. How did this combine with your position?

-We still did not reach the state of the GTRK as on Russia-1 and Russia-24 of the federal level. We do not behave like Kiselev, saying that Russia without Putin is non -viable. We cover events from a neutral point of view, giving the viewer the opportunity to draw conclusions ourselves. We have always adhered to this position. They didn’t say, for example: “We are going and voting” or that Putin is good, and our governor is cool.

- How did you meet the news about the detention of Sergei Furgal and protests in Khabarovsk?

- I was very surprised when it all happened. My mother is from Khabarovsk, and while my grandmother was alive, I flew there quite often. Therefore, I perceive all this as a personal drama and are proud of the Khabarovsk residents. The protest lasts nearly a month and a half. The heat, the sun is firing, and people go out and fight for our future. Trying to prove that they are not slaves. To make them hear.

Furgal is a legitimately chosen governor. I watched him out of the corner of my eye, and I really liked how he behaves with local officials. Of course, this caused sympathy, although he is an ambiguous person with a muddy past. But the fact that the crowd of thousands stood up and went for her governor, I think he talks about a lot. In Kamchatka, no one would go out for our former governor.

-Tell us about the rally that you organized in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in support of the Khabarovsk residents. How and why did you decide on this?

- I read social networks and saw that for the most part people in Kamchatka are protesting, but they are sitting at home. I freaked out and posted a post on my page that I am the same as you, I have a salary of 30 thousand, let's support Khabarovsk.

About 50 people came to the rally. A little, but for Kamchatka this is still a result. Even more than a hundred people, agreed with the authorities, never collect. And then the post sagged for less than a day, and fifty. I laid the beginning of the protest movement. I also consider this to be my little achievement.

It is very difficult to rock Kamchatka, because we live mostly state employees. And they are quite dangerous to attend such events.

In the end, it turned out quite amicably. I pumped up patriotic music and hoped that we would just turn it on, and I would not have to chant it and scream. But the equipment brought me down, the music sounded very quietly. And then my friend, human rights activist from the public movement "Citizen" Andrei Sargsyan, took the leadership of the event into his own hands. We shouted “I/we Khabarovsk” and other slogans in support of the Khabarovsk residents. The police did not touch us, although now it is likely that I will be “pulled up” for the organization.

- How did events develop after the rally? I mean your dismissal.

- I annoyed some officials. I was not called names, but I realized that my dismissal was not even agreed with the Government of the Kamchatka Territory, but with people in the highest offices. Apparently, a simple girl from Kamchatka was very strongly enraged by someone.

The chef and I had an agreement: when he gets tired of smearing me, when he does not work out to protect me, I will write a statement.

And I just kept the word. This happened naturally, but still unexpectedly. I was not ready for such a turn of events. Life now needs to urgently redraw.
