“Arsen is kept in the basement. In a very small cell - all in mold. According to him, it is very cold and damp. As a result, on the second or third day of being in it, his cheek was swollen, a flux. Yesterday he was operated on, if you can call it an operation. Because all this was without painkillers, making money. First they pierced him with a needle, after that they somehow cleaned it, profitably, with such pain. Then he went looking for cotton wool with a plaster, they stuck this plaster on him. The second day without dressing, ”said the lawyer.

Arsen Dzhepparov was sentenced by a Russian court to seven years in a strict regime penal colony on charges of involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir, which has been groundlessly recognized as a terrorist organization. He was not systematically provided with medical assistance in the Russian institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service. Now Dzhepparov is in SIZO-1 of Bashkortostan, in December 2019 he was transferred from the SIZO of the Rostov Region.
