Yulia Tymoshenko became infected with coronavirus

The leader of the Ukrainian Batkivshchyna party, Yulia Tymoshenko, has contracted the coronavirus, said her press secretary Marina Soroka on Facebook. According to her, the politician's condition is assessed as serious, she has a temperature of 39 ° C.

According to RBC Ukraine, members of the Tymoshenko family, her daughter Yevgenia and her husband Artur Chechetkin, also became infected with the coronavirus. Where and when Tymoshenko got infected is still unknown, the source said.

In Ukraine, 1987 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected over the past day. Over the entire period of the pandemic in the country, almost 105,000 people have been infected with coronavirus, about half of them have already recovered. 2271 patients with COVID-19 died, 27 of them over the past day.

The first case of coronavirus in Ukraine was detected on March 3 in the Chernivtsi region. Since March 17, quarantine has been introduced in the country. On August 1, new adaptive quarantine rules came into force, according to which different restrictions apply in the regions depending on the epidemiological situation.
