The police are breaking into the home of Alla Salakhova, the assistant of the arrested Moscow City Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Oleg Sheremetyev. Salakhova reported this to OVD-Info.

The police do not have a search warrant, but they have already tried to enter Salakhova’s apartment three times that evening and cut off her lights. The visit of the security forces is likely related to the criminal case of Oleg Sheremetyev.

On the day of the deputy’s arrest, the police also came to Alla Salakhova and tried to interview her as a witness, but they did not present a summons, and Salakhova refused to participate in the interview.

August 27, 00:07 Alla Salakhova told OVD-Info that at about 11 p.m. the police left. She clarified that this is the third visit by the police.

• The court ordered Sheremetyev to house arrest until October 18. A case was opened against him under the article of fraud on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code).
• Oleg Sheremetyev is one of the opposition deputies of the Moscow City Duma who won the elections in 2019. He, in particular, opposed amendments to the Constitution, as well as setting a voting date. In addition, he demanded that criminal prosecution in the “Moscow case” against participants in the summer 2019 protests be stopped.
