A court in Volgograd fined a participant in a rally of solidarity with protesting Khabarovsk residents

The court found Elena Sheina guilty of violating the rules of participation in public events (Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code) due to the action on August 1. The police drew up a protocol a few days after the action.

On August 1, rallies of solidarity with Khabarovsk protesters took place in dozens of cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan and many cities in Siberia and the Far East. On July 16, the Moscow City Court rejected the appeal of Furgal’s defense and recognized this decision as legal.
