The Myskovsky City Court of the Kemerovo Region fined five activists protesting against the coal mining methods used by the Sibanthracite group of companies. It is reported by MBH Media.
Maxim Voloshenko, Valentina and Anatoly Mitroshin, Tatyana Shanina and Olga Kostina were found guilty of blocking the road (Article 20.18 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and each was fined 25 thousand rubles (less than the minimum fine provided for in this article). The activists plan to appeal the verdict in the Kemerovo regional court.
According to KuzPress, on August 2, residents of the villages of Tetenza and Borodino blocked the technological road owned by Razrez Kiyzassky JSC, a company of the Sibantrotsit group. They wanted to draw attention to the violations committed during the construction and operation of the road passing through the buffer zone of the water intake well. The governor of the Kemerovo region, Sergei Tsivilev, promised that the road would be closed in August 2020.
