Protesters took to the streets of Belarusian cities on Sunday August 30. According to journalists, tens of thousands of people took part in Minsk in the rally. Several detentions took place on Independence Avenue - in total, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 140 people were detained. The convoy of the demonstrators congratulated Alexander Lukashenko on his birthday (today he turned 66 years old) and once again called him to leave the post of president of the country. The action ended peacefully - when the rain began, the protesters went home, and around the residence of Lukashenko lifted the cordon.
