More than 2.1 thousand patients with coronavirus died in the regions of Siberia. The total number of infected people has exceeded 98 thousand.

A new coronavirus infection was detected in 1,337 residents of Siberia in two days. The total number of infected reached 98,824 people, follows from the data of regional and federal operational headquarters on August 30-31.

33 patients died. Of these, 13 victims in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, eight - in the Omsk Region

The total number of dead patients, according to Taiga.info, reached 2113.

Rosstat data shows that authorities do not always report coronavirus-related deaths. Most of all, the statistics could be underestimated in the Omsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk regions and Tuva.

About 995.3 thousand cases of coronavirus were registered in Russia, 17176 patients died, about 809 thousand people recovered. In terms of incidence of coronavirus, Russia ranks fourth, behind the United States, Brazil and India.
