The German government called Lukashenko's words about the falsification of Navalny's poisoning untrue

The words of Alexander Lukashenko that the poisoning of politician Alexei Navalny was falsified do not correspond to reality. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the press service of the German government.

“Of course, the statement of Mr. Lukashenko is not true. Yesterday, the Federal Chancellor, Foreign Minister and Defense Minister expressed their opinion on the new circumstances in the Navalny poisoning case. There is nothing to add, ”the agency was told in the Cabinet.

On September 3, at a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarusian intelligence had intercepted a conversation between Germany and Poland, from which it followed that Navalny had not been poisoned. The purpose of the falsification was allegedly "to discourage Putin from sticking his nose into the affairs of Belarus."

Lukashenka promised to hand over the recording of the intercepted conversation to the Russian special services. So far, the Kremlin has not seen any supporting materials, said Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Russian president.

• Alexei Navalny became ill on board the Tomsk-Moscow plane on August 20. He was hospitalized in Omsk, and two days later he was transferred to the Berlin clinic "Charite".
