A participant in the procession in memory of Boris Nemtsov was fined in St. Petersburg

The Petrogradsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined Renat Nurullin, a participant in the procession in memory of the murdered politician Boris Nemtsov, 10 thousand rubles. This was reported in the telegram channel of the United Press Service of the Courts of St. Petersburg.

The event in memory of Nemtsov took place on February 29, 2020. The press service said that the Committee on Law, Order and Security of the city agreed with the organizers of the picket on Trinity Square near the Solovetsky Stone. However, the participants “moved in an organized manner” to the Solovetsky Stone “along a predetermined route” from the Gorkovskaya metro station. It is mentioned that a police officer warned the participants that “during the movement it is prohibited to use means of visual propaganda, chant slogans, or hold a public event in the form of a procession that is not approved in accordance with the law,” but they did not listen.

As for Nurullin himself, his guilt, as stated in the message, is that he not only participated in the procession, but also “together with three unidentified persons” held a banner that was not related to the topic of the event, namely in defense of the defendants cases of “Network”, accused of involvement in the terrorist community.
