A court in Sochi rejected a complaint against the arrest of Chernovik journalist Abdulmumin Gadzhiev

On September 3, the Third Court of Appeal in Sochi dismissed a complaint against the arrest of Chernovik journalist Abdulmumin Gadzhiev and two other defendants in the case of a terrorist organization, the publication reports .

On July 29, the Supreme Court of Dagestan extended the term of detention in a pre-trial detention center until September 13 for three defendants in the case - Abdulmumin Gadzhiev, Abubakar Rizvanov and Kemal Tambiev. Counsel for the defendants appealed the decision.

On appeal, the panel of judges, after consulting for about ten minutes, upheld the extension of the arrest.

Gadzhiev, Tambiev and Rizvanov are consistently extended the term of detention in the pre-trial detention center - first until August 10 , then until September 13 . They are accused under articles on participation in the activities of an extremist organization (part 2 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code), participation in a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code) and financing its activities (part 4 of article 205.1 of the Criminal Code).
