
The Russian government has amended the sanctions list - sanctions are introduced in connection with the non -friendly actions of Ukraine. The former Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko fell into the new version of the list, the data are published on the legal information portal.
The list of persons falling under sanctions (their property, cash and securities in the Russian Federation will be blocked) increased by 41 people.
In addition to Poroshenko, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, a soloist of the Elsa Ocean, fell under the sanctions, the deputies of several parties in the Verkhovna Rada and two members of the SBU command - Mikhail Zabrodsky and Valentina Nalivaichenko.

Petro Poroshenko is a Ukrainian state and politician, entrepreneur, lawyer. In 2012, he held the post of Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. From 2014 to 2019, Poroshenko was the president of the country. At the end of May 2019, he became chairman of the European Solidarity political party. Since August 2019, Poroshenko has been a People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the IX convocation.

In August last year, the State Bureau of Investigations of Ukraine registered a criminal case against Petro Poroshenko, the former head of the National Bank of Valeria Gontareva and Ukroboronprom officials and Ukrexibank. They are suspected of embezzlement in the army and withdrawal of funds to offshore. Perhaps the former president of Ukraine took part of the money to Russia - if so, then he will not be able to use it anymore.
