The President of Serbia and Prime Minister Kosovo signed the long -awaited agreement in Washington. Maria Zakharova ridiculed the leader of Serbia in social networks and immediately reluctantly apologized

Kosovo breakthrough, held in American territory, turned out to be even more spectacular than supposed. After several organizational falseters, the US President’s work room, the Serbian President Alexander Vucich and the prime minister of the partially recognized state of Kosovo Abdullah Khoti, were included on September 4. When they left there, the Balkan world changed: the central screening of the peninsula - Serbia - and the territory that one -sidedly separated from it - Kosovo - agreed to proceed to a very versatile, as it turns out, the process of normalizing economic relations.

The technically corresponding document was signed by each part of the United States, and not among themselves-due to the fact that, as the Serbian delegation explained, Kosovo is not a universally recognized subject of international law. Donald Trump, on both sides of which they were signed by the signature, had reason to keep a majestic mine:

Each word in the agreement was considered, proposed and, in fact, ensured by the authority of the United States.

The official name of the Washington Agreement is rather a tactical step; In addition to economic, many political and humanitarian provisions are packed in the document.

Here are the most important:

1. Serbia takes the obligation not to seek from other states to refuse to recognize Kosovo;

2. Kosovo will not apply for membership in international organizations - such a regime will operate during the year;

3. Kosovo and Serbia will continue to cooperate in the search for missing, refugees and displaced persons as a result of the Kosovo war of 1998-1999;

4. In the international-diplomatic part of the agreement (there is such) Serbia undertakes to transfer its embassy to Israel to Jerusalem, and Kosovo to establish diplomatic relations with Israel, receiving in return its recognition;

5. The parties also confirmed, “in respect for the United States”, the status of Hezbollah organization as a terrorist.

But the economic part of the document is still the main thing. At the suggestion of the President of Serbia, Kosovo will join the regional customs union - the so -called small Schengen. This is an agreement on economic cooperation, which provides for the free movement of goods, people, services and capital, the leaders of the three West Balkan states - Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia - were signed in November 2019. An agreement is also subjected to the mutual recognition of diplomas on higher education and certificates of profession.

The prospects for the separation of energy resources of the border reservoir to the gazivod, which are divided by Serbia and Kosovo, are outlined - the US Department of Energy will prepare the corresponding project. This will noticeably correct the energy potential of Serbia. The parties will continue to work on the embodiment of previously achieved decisions to resume the air and railway communication between Belgrade and Primetina, interrupted more than twenty years ago.

In Belgrade, a representative office of the International Development Financing Corporation (USIDFC), the executive body in the Federal Government of the United States, which is responsible for providing foreign assistance through financing private development projects, will open.

Vuchich is not reasonably believes that this is an excellent signal for investors around the world.

But the Americans failed to maintain a clause on the mutual recognition of Serbia and Kosovo in the document. However, conversations about him were more likely to be in the public: the realist Vuchich and another realist - Richard Grenell, a special representative of the US President in negotiations between Serbia and Kosovo and the Motor of the Agreement - perfectly understand that the best way to ensure a strong political decision of such a conflict - to wrap him in mutual -external economic clothing.

Alexander Vuchich was glad and proud of what had happened; Having called America “the most influential or one of the most influential states of the world”, he also said a phrase in the transfer of the TunYUG agency, which would most likely abstain in Belgrade:

“We should not consider Protina only as an enemy side.”
