The first racket of the world of Novak Djokovic was disqualified from the opening championship of the United States for unsportsmanlike behavior. The Serbian tennis player hit the line judge.
On Sunday, in the fourth round match in New York against the Spaniard, Pablo Carreno-Busta, after a loss of the first set, Djokovic, without looking, threw the ball with a racket towards the rear wall of the court. The ball hit the judge in the throat, she fell and began to choke. The tennis player immediately apologized and rushed to her to help. The judge soon got up and left the court.

Djokovich tried to convince the supervisor of the match that everything turned out by chance, but the main argument in favor of the disqualification was that this was the second episode of inappropriate behavior in a few minutes. Together with the disqualification, Djokovic will be deprived of all rating points and prize money earned at the tournament.
After the incident, he wrote on Instagram that this situation would be his lesson. He apologized to the line judge, in front of the US Open tournament and to the fans.
Novak Djokovic won 17 large helmet tournaments in a single category, including three times won the US Open.
