On appeal, the Khabarovsk Regional Court overturned the arrest and returned to the police the materials of the case of Denis Posmetyukhin, a participant in a number of protests in support of ex-governor Sergei Furgal. This was reported by lawyer from OVD-Info Andrei Bityutsky.
On August 21, the court of first instance found Denis Posmetyukhin guilty of obstructing traffic (Part 6.1, Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code) at a rally in support of Furgal on July 27 and ordered three days of arrest. Posmetyukhin managed to leave them.
On the morning of August 21, police came to Posmetyukhin’s home and took him to the police department to draw up a report. Immediately after this, the activist was sent to court.
