The court in Rostov-on-Don dismissed cases in connection with the rally in support of Belarus

The Proletarsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don terminated the administrative cases of Olga and Irina Zenin in connection with their participation in a rally in support of Belarus. This was reported by the telegram channel "Apology of Protest".

Protocols were drawn up against the Zenins on violation of the procedure for holding a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The court considered that there was no corpus delicti in their actions.

The defense was carried out by lawyer Irina Gak, collaborating with the Protest Apology.

On August 15, the Zenins took part in the "Chain of Solidarity" action in support of the protesters in Belarus. A group of people with flowers in their hands honored the memory of those who died as a result of attacks by security forces in Belarusian cities with a minute of silence, after which they went to lay flowers at the branch of the Embassy of Belarus in Rostov.

On September 7, the same court dismissed a similar case against Andrei Skibenko; on September 2, the Leninsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don dismissed Oksana Zavgorodnyaya’s case for the same action (a protocol was drawn up against Zavgorodnyaya on a repeated violation of the procedure for holding public events - part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) .

In total, the police drew up protocols for 14 people for the "Chain of Solidarity".

On September 11, the Rostov court dismissed a similar administrative case against Lidia Olshanskaya, who was charged with participation in an uncoordinated rally. Writes about this "Apology of Protest".
