In Naberezhnye Chelny, the police detained Anton Kassin, a candidate for municipal deputies from the United Democrats project, and threatened him with suspicion of stashing drugs. This is reported by the telegram channel of the project.

Kassin was detained when he was laying out leaflets in the entrance. The candidate was dragged out into the street, his hands were wrung and he was put face down on the asphalt. The police explained the detention as a "day of silence", which occurs only on September 12.

The candidate was examined, threatened that he was suspected of laying drugs, and then released.
