
In Belarus, a criminal case was instituted against the secretary of the Coordinating Council of the opposition (KS) Igor Kravtsov, BelTA reports .
He is suspected of embezzlement on an especially large scale.
Now Kravtsov is in Ukraine. The Secretary of the KS said that a few days ago the Belarusian authorities demanded that Maria Kolesnikov be removed from him, threatening in case of refusal by a criminal case.
Kravtsov said that he was not going to ask for political asylum in Ukraine.
Context:
The defendants in criminal cases have already become three members of the Presidium of the Constitutional Court. Maria Kolesnikova and Maxim the sign were accused of trying to seize power. Lilia Vlasov is accused of non -payment of taxes. Only one member of the Coordination Council, Svetlana Aleksievich, remains at large. The Belarusian security forces came to her, after which the ambassadors of Germany, Poland, Sweden, Slovakia and the Czech Republic arrived at Aleksievich to prevent its detention.
The other members of the Presidium either were forced to leave Belarus or are under criminal and administrative cases.
