At the Okhotny Ryad metro station on the evening of September 13, police detained Nikita Yesin, an opponent of the construction of the South-East Chord on the site of a radioactive waste repository. Lawyer Dmitry Zakhvatov told OVD-Info about this.
The reason for the detention of Esin was his being on the “administrative wanted list”. This wording was transmitted to the police by the facial recognition system, which worked on the activist in the subway.
Esin was taken to the Krasnoselsky police department. The police, as Zakhvatov said, could not explain what an administrative search is. In addition, they did not know what to do with the detainee in this case.
Law enforcement officers conducted Esin's "just in case" procedure of fingerprinting and photographing, and also took the prints of his shoes.
After that, the detainee was taken to the police department in the Nagatino-Sadovniki district, from where he was released.
