In Penza, a criminal case was opened against an oppositionist who made an inscription near the governor’s house

In Penza, opposition activist Albert Gerasimov, known as the author of the inscription "Remove the fence" near the governor's house, was summoned to the police for questioning. It is reported by Volga. MBKh Media.

Gerasimov is being held as a suspect in the case of torture (Article 117 of the Criminal Code). In a conversation with the publication, Gerasimov clarified that the case was opened at the request of an unknown person who participated in the attack on Gerasimov himself on April 22. In a statement, the man who attacked the oppositionist indicated that he was attacked by an "unknown person." The police decided to impute the attack to Gerasimov.

An opposition activist describes the events of April 22 in this way: two unidentified men attacked him and doused him with paint. He caught up with one of the attackers and escorted him to the police. The attacker wrote a statement to the police, in connection with which they plan to bring Gerasimov to criminal responsibility.

On September 27, Gerasimov is charged not with torture, but under the article on causing harm to health of moderate severity (Article 112 of the Criminal Code). The victim in the case, Ayub Arsamurzaev, told the investigator at a confrontation that he was a veteran of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and participated in two Chechen campaigns.
