-In shape, this is a classic bar-hopping, when a person moves from bar to bar and one glass drinks in each bar. But in our case, this is a bar-hopping with a plot, with the participation of artists iconic for St. Petersburg: Billy Novik, Igor Sklyar and Dmitry Lysenkov.
This action can also be attributed to the “Secret Theater”: since the audio performance is loaded into the smartphone application and is reproduced to the headphones to the viewer, for others the visitor to the performance is no different from the rest of the bar visitors. But for one who at this moment participates in the play, everything around becomes part of this performance: bartenders who drink behind a persistent citizens, random passers-by-each of them at a certain moment can add something to the perception of the performance.
In terms of content, this is also in some way a detective story: the hero Billy Novik accidentally meets with Chekhov (the conspirative name of the hero Igor Sklyar), and he reveals the truth to him about the role of alcohol in the history of mankind - but since this knowledge is “unsafe”, the pursuit begins behind them. The viewer walks in the footsteps of the heroes and gradually finds out what they learned, and becomes a witness to what happened to them.

- We are what we eat. And we drink. But alcohol is not only one of the components of a human gastronomic culture, but also a powerful tool for changing the surrounding reality. A separate way of knowing the world, if you like. No one will argue with the fact that different alcohol changes our perception differently. And this depends not only on what we drink, but also on where and with whom we do this. Beer in a friendly company unites and has noisy fun, whiskey alone, on the contrary, promotes concentration and introspection, rum liberates and allows you to lose the shackles of conventions, and Gene gives strength and relieves fatigue that has accumulated during the day.
The task of the bar is to provide the guest with the most comfortable atmosphere to know the differences. Different drinks are drunk differently in old corner zucchini, jazz bars and port taverns, and the viewer will have to go through them all, and not only. I believe that we managed to choose the combinations of a place and drink as accurately as possible to help the viewer, but rather a participant in the performance, to understand our point of view on such a significant element of human culture as alcohol.

- What we can reach, will not dare to lie to us. At the ordinary theater, the viewer is distance from the performance, there are many boundaries and conventions. Immediately, the viewer not only watches action, he becomes his hero, participant and actor. The bar turns into the stage and the auditorium at the same time.
Four, as they say in the theater, is pure change - when the decoration changes entirely. And what a decoration! No theater can afford such an expensive sale. At the same time, there is no place for conventionality in the bars, you are in contact with the texture of the material world all the time and even taste it. And in our case, this is always a selected texture - if a stand, then oak, if whiskey, then restrained.
By the way of whiskey, I have long brought out such a theory: when you read literature, you constantly meet with alcohol that the heroes drink, and if you want to get deeper into the work, you need to match its heroes and drink the same drinks in the process of reading. If the work is good, it can only become better from this, and even alcohol can not be saved by bad literature. The “Trade Union of Hell’s Workers” can be gone to dry, but why deny yourself the pleasure of at least try drinks in which humanity has invested so much strength and love.

- We really need rituals, from the simplest, like coffee with a croissant, to solemn and even religious. But such a strange thing occurs with the rituals - over time they stop working. And society comes up with new ones. It so happened that the bars became an important part of the St. Petersburg ritual. And we strengthen this mythology, combining the bar and theatrical culture.
All the performances of the “Bar Trilogy” (“ with Charles Bukovsky behind the bar ”, “ detained ” and “trade union of Hell workers”) can only be seen in St. Petersburg: they are firmly connected with the city, which means that, including for the sake of them, you need to go here.

- If anyone has not yet watched, then you can gladly spend time on the series " Sharp Rolfers ". And to read, if completely on the topic, you can from the " History of the World in six glasses " to Sapiens Juval Harari.
