The largest Russian online retailer Wildberries has launched sales in Ukraine. The country became the eighth in the list of presence of the marketplace.
“We see a high potential for development in the country: its residents are increasingly shopping in online stores, and the growth rate of e-commerce continues to grow,” RBC quotes Wildberries development director Vyacheslav Ivashchenko.
3 million items from 32,000 brands have become available to buyers in Ukraine, reports Interfax online store . You can order them with free delivery in the wildberries.ua or in a mobile application for iOS. The retailer plans to launch an app for Android in the near future. Residents of Ukraine will be able to receive orders at partner points of issue (there are 8 thousand of them) or with the help of courier home delivery.
In addition to Ukraine, Wildberries operates in Russia, Slovakia (since May 2020), Poland (since January 2020), Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. In June, Wildberries owner Tatyana Bakalchuk said that the retailer plans to launch sales in 10 more countries this year.
In 2019, the turnover of Wildberries amounted to 223.5 billion rubles, and in the first half of 2020 it already reached 178.7 billion rubles.
